It's the only book I read and couldn't decide if I loved or hated it...
The writing style was captivating and truly beautiful, but the horror this book holds is way too much...
Anyone who's willing to read it, make sure you check the trigger warnings first.

“What he knew, he knew from books. And books lied, they made things prettier.”
When you listen closely, you can hear a shatter. That was my heart breaking. No, I didn’t cry during or after reading this book. What happened was this: my heart sagged with a grief so heavy that I was unable to do anything, and had to stare at this book for a long time. After all, there’s only so much a 16 year old can suffer.
Please read ALL if you are above 20. It has extreme triggers and you might end up being seriously wrecked .
I am 16, but I still read it, but I shouldn’t have.
A Little Life was short listed for the Booker Prize and you can easily guess that this book is amazing.
But, ALL is really hard to get into for the initial three chapters, but when you get to Part 2 , you’ll begin to invest in the characters and then complete the novel. (Possibly have your heart broken)
A Little Life is actually the story of Jude with an unknown ethnicity, a secretive past. Jude is the string that holds the other three friends. ALL is a descent into the traumatic past of Jude, and the years from his college to adulthood.
It’s better if you look up more into the content warnings of the book and then decide to read it. I became so scared at a point that I started to question my decision to continue. I was scared of what I might find.
A densely character driven novel that makes you wonder about humanity and be grateful for everything you have in life.
A tear-jerker as well as an eye-opener .

Book is fucking infuriating. I was happy when the main character finally killed himself.
